Each Person Teams Up with IKEA to Provide Employees with a Home Salary Deduction Scheme

Each Person has partnered with IKEA to enable employees to upgrade their living space using a home salary deduction scheme. The scheme aims to provide a more financially accessible way for employees to purchase furniture, accessories and decor, enabling them to create comfortable, functional living environments without the pressure of large upfront costs.

The Swedish furniture and homeware retailer has become a household name over recent decades, attracting around 900 million customers worldwide in 2024.

Through the home salary deduction scheme, Each Person aims to offer employees an additional avenue to access popular products at affordable price points, enhancing their home environments and overall wellbeing.

Home Salary Deduction; Providing Well-Rounded Support for Employees

Research shows that 46% of young adults believe their home interior has a greater impact on their mood than the weather1. While other sources report that our homes have a direct impact on our mental health2. Making home upgrades more accessible can therefore help to build both financial and emotional wellbeing.

Providing comprehensive support to employees through schemes such as the home salary deduction benefit not only has an impact on their personal lives but also positively influences the workplace, with better wellbeing linked to increased productivity, a reduction in sick leave and creating a more positive working environment.

A Partnership Born Out of Shared Values

Both IKEA and Each Person have come together to further a shared mission; IKEA’s central vision is "to create a better everyday life for the many people.” Similarly, Each Person aims to provide their users with benefits that have a positive impact on the day-to-day lives of employees to improve workplaces.

Matt Norbury, CEO of Each Person, shares: “We’re excited to be expanding the ways employers can support their people through this partnership with IKEA. As a leader in home improvement, IKEA shares our commitment to enhancing the lives of employees. Our goal has always been to strengthen financial resilience and wellbeing, ensuring employees are best placed to engage in workplace culture. Supporting home life through a home salary deduction scheme is just another meaningful way for businesses to show genuine care.”

Introducing Lifestyle Benefits Signifies Change

This partnership reflects a growing shift in how employers are supporting their people and expanding the scope of traditional benefits to provide practical solutions that improve everyday life for the modern workforce. As financial pressures continue to affect employees, initiatives that combine affordability, accessibility, and wellbeing are becoming a key part of how organisations strengthen their workplace culture and attract talent by aligning with employees’ needs.
